MICROSOFT - Microsoft Student Association

My journey with computers started at the age of 7... Then the little girl was fascinated by "Paint". That was a platform for her to show her creativity.

Now she is an 18 year old teenager. And she continuous her bond with the world that Microsoft has given her....

Microsoft...... This word is almost known to every 4th kid in today’s world..... It starts with paint, word etc..... And goes to outlook, skype, azure n so on.....
The list is never ending....
The journey starts off when her teacher introduces to her Paint. Little hands on the mouse to create a fantasy of her dreams. Then she comes to Word. She learns to express herself in her writings. Things get bigger and better. She learns PowerPoint. She animates her thoughts. She now goes into the outer world. The world where she meets new people. To run at the pace which the rest of the world is running at she gets a Windows phone. Gets on to Skype. Her day starts with Microsoft. And continuous with it.

This is Prathvi Ravindra Prabhu. A second year Computer Science Engg. student at NMAMIT.

In today’s world it is very essential to have the knowledge and skills of working with computers. And the most important softwares are associated with Microsoft. Therefore Microsoft has become an inevitable part of human lives.

Microsoft necessity begins with the most basic need of computers i.e. Operating Systems (OS).
The term Windows collectively describes any or all of several generations of Microsoft Operating System products.

A wide range of softwares for desktops and servers, internet search (with Bing), the video game industry (Xbox), the digital services market (through MSN), & mobile phones (via the Windows Phone OS) are the active areas of the company.

Word processors have a variety of uses and applications within the business world, home, and education.

Business
Within the business world, Microsoft word is extremely useful tool. Typical uses include:
·         memos
·         letters and letterhead
·         legal copies
·         reference documents

Education
Many schools have begun to teach typing and word processing to their students, starting as early as elementary school. Typically these skills are developed throughout secondary school in preparation for the business world. Undergraduate students typically spend many hours writing essays. Graduate and doctoral students continue this trend, as well as creating works for research and publication. These manuscripts are often in excess of 200 pages, and are typically the defining point of a student's career.

Home
While many homes have word processors on their computers, word processing in the home tends to be educational or business related, dealing with assignments or work being completed at home. Some use word processors for letter writing, résumé creation, and card creation.

The list of softwares available to us from Microsoft is never ending.

I have just highlighted a few softwares that I come across very often. Which clearly implies that Microsoft has a great impact in my life. And it will continue to be a integral part of my future too.

By becoming a part of MSA I would get deeper knowledge about the various softwares and share it with my friends and family.

This program would also help me become a good programmer and create new softwares for the society.

Looking forward to be a part of MSA....

Thank You to all my readers...
